Andrea received her Bachelor of Laws with Great Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 2001. In 2021, she was conferred the designation of Queen’s Counsel (now recognized as King’s Counsel).

Andrea has been in private practice in Swift Current, Saskatchewan since completing her Articles of Clerkship with the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal in 2002. Her practice focuses primarily in the areas of Corporate and Commercial Law, Real Estate, Business Organization and Succession, Estate Planning and Estate Administration. A significant part of Andrea’s practice is agriculturally related: she advises primary producers as to general business matters, and has a specific interest in the unique legal challenges and opportunities farmers face in their operations and estate planning. Andrea and her husband operate a grain farm near Stewart Valley, Saskatchewan, and she understands first-hand those matters affecting the agricultural industry.

Andrea has volunteered her time as a presenter and writer on various legal topics to both professional and public audiences. She has also volunteered and acted as a Bencher with the Law Society of Saskatchewan serving from 2019 to 2024. As a Bencher, her committee appointments included competency, trust safety, discipline, ethics, insurance, and firm regulation. Andrea was very pleased to serve as President of the Law Society of Saskatchewan in 2023.

Andrea’s current volunteerism with the profession sees her sitting as the Saskatchewan Council representative on the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, where she also sits as a member of the Standing Committee on Mental Health and Wellness, the National Discipline Standards Committee and the Canadian Common Law Approval Committee. Outside of law, Andrea volunteers as Chair of the Swift Current Comprehensive High School Community Council.
